IPM Inc. (Intellectus Project Management Inc.) was formed by the two partners in 2007 to respond to requests from property owners for client-centered design and project management services. The firm’s strength derives from the wealth of experience of its two principals both as consultants and as clients in the private, government and not-for-profit sectors. The firm ensures that every client has direct one to one relationship with one (or in most cases both) of the partners – Shelley Desjardins, President and Lawrence Kavanagh, Principal, who together offer over 40 years of experience in delivering unique and complex projects.

Clients approach IPM seeking assistance in the exploration of ideas, design solutions and the management of projects. To date the firm has been involved in the management of projects worth over $50 million.

IPM has quickly established a reputation for protecting the client’s interests throughout the entire design and construction process. The firm has significant experience and expertise in:

•Working closely with membership accountable organizations and clients with strong governance and committee oversight

•Procurement and management of a project’s full range of required consultants and contractors

•Value engineering to ensure cost effective utilization of the client’s project funds

•Developing, monitoring and reporting to Committees and Boards on budgets, cash flows, schedules, materials selection

•Acting as the “lynchpin”, the single point of contact and liaison between design team, client and construction manager/contractors

•Coordinating the various disciplines to ensure on site “fit” during construction and therefore fewer extras
